If you are 6400 ft from the co you qualify for 3mbit speeds. VZN Customer service must suck.

I've had DSL with Verizon for a year at 768/128. Since their new price change they've advertised 3/768. I too called about the upgrade and was told I had to be within 11000 feet which I'm not but I could get 1.5. I did no problem. I suggest you have more an issue with unfiltered phones or need to tweak your settings with something like DRTCP. Good luck!

I spent those first 2 days before my account was "officially" live tweaking everything I could. I'm NOT a nOOb on computers, so I know it's not that. After my conversation with the first lady when I ordered the service, who told me I "shouldn't" have any problems getting the full speed, everybody from then on said I couldn't get any better than 1.5/384. Which I couldn't come close to either. The final 2 people I talked to simply said I DO NOT qualify for anything better than 768/128, so I said cancel me. Between not getting what they advertise and the obviously imcompetent tech reps, I'm SURE it's for the better.

Charter is supposed to be going to 5/512 sometime soon here anyway!!

I am about 14,500' away from CO and qualify for 3 mbps down by 768 kbps up for $29.95 per month + fees. First hook-up got virtually no down stream speed but about 550 kbps up stream speed. Call technical supports which was answered by live person within 3 minutes told me to replace the telephone wire from jack to modem with Verizon provided telephone wire and disconnect all other devices connected to all telephone jacks. Immediately modem synchronized at 1856 kbps by 704 kbps. I am satisfied but Verizon technical supports are not happy so they will keep the trouble ticket open and look into the matter further and told me may eventually send technician over so my modem can eventually synchronize above 3 mbps down by 768 kbps up.

5/1 mbps here in Mid-MI. I see there is a 6/6 business package but i havent seen it here.
