Panasonic 5.8

I have an old Toshiba phone with a lot of noise and I was looking forward to buy the new Panasonic 5.8. Your post caught my attention. How did you work around the problems you had with your new phone (Panasonic)? Would you recommend it?

thanks

Re: Panasonic 5.8

I bought a Panasonic KX-TG5050W 5.8 GHz cordless phone back in November. I used it with my landline phone service for about 1 month with no problems. I then signed up for Vonage service, and now the phone does not work when it is too close to the base unit. When the phone is less than 10 feet from the base unit, the other person starts complaining about a lot of static on the line and they cannot hear me. I even tried using the phone on a landline, but it still did not work.

vonage tech support

Given my recent experience with vonage tech support, I will have have to agree with everybody else on this forum that they couldn't help themselves off the top of a cliff if the wanted to.

I recently tried to make a device upgrade to my account and all hell broke loose. I do have to say that usually ticket resolution does not fare well with any service I've dealt with. What Vonage can do well is set up and cancel accounts. Trying to change phone numbers, swap devices, troubleshoot service, is a game outside their league.

I still believe they are the best option among VoIP providers, but I would like to see more options out there.

Re: Smooth Ride??????

Reason you dumped Vonage?

You get a little choppy audio, then out the door?

What happened, the review is not that informational at all.
