How about EL?

Not sure if you have basic cable or if you only have it to get the discount but just to let you know that you can get Earthlink Cable powered by Comcast in your area for 45.95 a month without the need to have any Comcast TV service.

The speeds and service are the same and you actually receive your Monthly bill from Comcast but you have an Earthlink account, email address and 20 hours of dial-up a month included. See link

I have don't have Comcast cable TV and still only pay 45.95 a month for the same service I would get it if I were with Comcast directly

I Think earthlink TOS stated that "Comcast Customer Only" so I really doubt you can have just the cable service alone from Earthlink for $45, I use to have TV and Phone service with Comcast, when I drop TV, which leave me phone, and Comcast say having Phone service doesn't qualify as Comcast Customer??? Are they stupid or it is just me?

Sure can. You don't have to be a Comcast customer of anything in order to get Earthlink Cable powered by Comcast. I'm doing this and it saves me 15 bucks a month that I would have to pay Comcast if I didn't go through EL. Check out the »Earthlink Cable forum here if you need to find out more. EL also offers service via TimeWarner and Brighthouse Cable

I know about EL offer. But I find it convenient to be able to watch TV on my computer in the basement, too.

Might get a QAM tuner card later for I heard the basic package does come with broadcast HDTV channels.
