Agree

I have been with lingo for about 9 months. The first month went fine but the next month had me woundering. Well 9 months later I am glad to say I am pleased with the service and very happy to be paying them insted of Sprint.

Three way calling

Three way calling works the way you describe!! When you hang up the others ARE disconnected. This is the way it works with any telephone company I've used. If it didn't work this way, you could become a personal telephone switch, connecting people at will to have long distance calls for free. So don't blame you carrier.

Re: Three way calling

What I meant to describe is one of the functions offered by Lingo called "Call Transfer". According to Lingo you can either choose to stay online or hang up and the other parties can continue talking.

Re: Three way calling

With respect, I'm not sure you know what you're talking about. I looked on the Lingo site and I see no mention at all of "call transfer," and I looked at all of the calling features listed. It seems you're confusing it with something else, maybe from some other provider. You seem confused as to how 3 way calling works -- you say it doesn't -- but when you talk about the two other callers being disconnected when you hang up: THAT'S HOW 3 WAY CALLING WORKS -- and it has nothing to do with any feature you refer to as "call transfer."

Are you a Lingo subscriber? The reason I ask is because the feature of "Call Transfer" is advertised by Lingo when you log in to your account and go to "Manage Features" and then "Call Control" (see caption above).

Re: Three way calling

You CAN call transfer on Lingo -- but it has to be done BEFORE the 3-way call.

Meaning, you pick up and call one party. Hit FLASH, call second party, when second party answers - you hang up.

If you hit flash and switch to 3-way, then the call will be disconnected when you hang up.

Re: Three way calling

Call transfer and 3 way calling works fine for me...but if I hang up while it's ringing, EVERYONE gets disconnected. Gotta start the 3way call first, get everyone talking, then hang up.

Also ditching Lingo after several years, same reason

Good luck with your search for a new provider. I'm porting over to voip.ms and I'm quite impressed so far.

Re: Also ditching Lingo after several years, same reason

Yeah I would not put up with that either. There are plenty of other providers that are honest about the cost of their service when you first sign up and do not tack on $10 worth of "fees" after their base price.
