Time synchronization

You don't need modem to sync clock. If you have Windows XP, just click on clock, switch to Internet Time tab and check Automatically synchronize with Internet time server. For Unix you can use ntp daemon. Also for other version of Windows, you can try for example »sourceforge.net/projects/nettime (it is freeware) or any other software. Only avoid "Precision Time and Date Manager" software, because it installs Gator adware.

I'm alreay running a NTP server here at my house for the New Orleans area and some clients. The reason I wanted to dialup to get ACTS time is so that I can have stratum one accuracy.
