| Cox cable? I feel bad for you. Hi; couldn't help but respond to your post: it is sad but so common. I worked for Cox@Home, then Cox.net, as a cablemodem tech and as an installer. Most of truck rolls we do to situations like yours are a waste of time, and we know it. the guy on the phone knows it, the tech who comes out to your house knows it. It costs over a hundred dollars each time we come out to your house, but it gives the appearance that Cox cares, so we (supposedly) retain customers in this futile exercise. Many customers have good connections, some don't, and there's not much that can be done about it. I feel bad for all of you, but in order to hang on to our jobs, we can't be honest with the customers. | |

| Cox in CT offers both 5/2 and 15/2. When I upgraded to 15/2 two weeks ago, the new speeds were nice. Then, the speeds slowed down. A call to tech support had 3 different techs roll out. All 3 techs came in to the house, logged into a "dedicated" Cox server, checked the speeds, said that I was within "range" and said there's nothing they could do and left.
Can't wait for FiOS. As soon as it's here, cya Cox! | |
