| Yeah.. the software sucks.. I totally agree with you on the CD software! BLOATED!!! Reminds me of SBC/Yahoo's CD that I had to rip out for ppl when I was a tech for them (which I think the Yahoo s*** was worse).
I only have WinPOet installed on my PC. I personally don't have any issues with that software. I only have the Westell 2200 modem/router (no other router) and I recieved slower speeds when I had the "Always On" connection thru the 2200 than with connecting thru WinPOet. Also, I do see the conflict you have pulling up 192.xxx.xxx.xxx IP instead of normal 151 or 69 IP's. I had the same issue when I had the 2200 modem connecting me. My firewall I use (Panda Antivirus) wouldn't work right with always on (conflicts??)
Otherwise, Verizon DSL works great for me. |
