Welcome to Mediacom!

Glad to see you're happy with Mediacom Online. I'm surprised to see so many new Albany users coming here in such a short period. Mediacom must be running a big advertising campaign down there. I know that's what they're doing here in Columbus. No cable channel is safe from nonstop Mediacom commercials, and all of the local radio stations are constantly running ads about the CATV and internet specials going on now.

Thanks for the welcome. As far as all the people in Albany... Mediacom is just now rolling out high speed internet. We're all geeked about it. The only other choice here is Bellsouth and most of us are too far from th CO for DSL. It's great that the rest of us have a choice here now.

UPLOAD SPEED NEEDS UPPED NOW

I agree the download speed is great! The upload speed is horrible. I want to play Xbox Live and cannot play a steady game because of the 128 up. They truly need to up it to at least 256 if not more. I would pay an extra $10 a month for 384. If you have this service, call and complain about the upload speed. It can only help.

I totally agree. 128k is just horrible, and is torture. I heard a rumor that Mediacom would be boosting speeds this summer but it's the end of June already and I've heard nothing more...
