| A few days lead time would help before my old DSL service was cut off. I came home after a few days of skiing to find that my previous DSL no longer worked. A UPS notice was stuck to my door. Apparently my new DSL router showed up and I wasn't here to sign for it. And now I cannot get it until Monday evening. I had no idea which day to expect my service to be swtiched -- Absolutely unacceptable!!! Not what I call a smooth switchover. Now I am off line for 3 days.
A better idea would be to wait until the customer receives the new router, then he/she could notify Speakeasy and expect to make the switch. Customer service? Customer uptime? I'm not sure Speakeasy has ever heard of these concepts. If I have any trouble at all with them, I will cancel my account.

| Why is this review here, and not in one of the other categories? I have had speakeasy for over 2 years and had no problem getting live (11 days) and I am sorry to hear of your troubles, but am confused as to your placement. 4 out of 5 stars and then you go off on a rant... | |
