To be accurate and correct, A-Link offers DSL to both residential and business customers. However, since they are not a big-bank account ISP they cannot offer the below-wholesale prices that a certain 'southern bell' is able to offer to the public by paying half of her customers bill each month just to gain market-share. Therefore, A-link's pricing is competitive for business DSL, and you can get that DSL in your residence, it just doesn't have the "residential" label or 'price' on it based on the fact I mentioned earlier... ...they choose not to lose money to gain market share, so they don't bother to compete with these ridiculously low DSL offers enabled by the big company picking up half the tab for each customer.
Can you say 'multiple lawsuits?' The big bell advertises that with DSL you "CAN get speeds up to..." because, (in all fairness) no one promises anything with DSL technology...
...A-Link included.
However, A-Link doesn't need to make promises. A-Link's business practices include providing MORE bandwidth than their customers can use (which is the opposite of most ISP's).... ...In fact, it's BECAUSE A-Link provides more bandwidth than their customers demand that a DSL circuit from A-Link DOES GET the full speed the customer signed up for... ...and to me that speaks for itself! | |
