| Getting better? You are very lucky. I tried out SBC Ameritechs DSL in Michigan awhile back and gave up after 6 months. Tech support was awful and they were charging me 50 bucks for slower service than dial up. Constants knock offs too. Now I have a Speedstream 4060 modem gathering dust in my filing cabinet that will probably not see the light of day until I pitch it in the can. Congrats on your success though. | Re: Getting better? Unforutally DSL is a very sensitive service so it doesnt always work for everyone... Im just happy its for now working beter than my cable companies service was.. (consdiering I fought with them for 3 months trying to get them to listen to my issues and not constantly point fingers at my nic or OS) | |

| well sk8er your quite luck. I just received my CSI kit from sbc. my turn on date is the 22nd of this month. Did the same thing opened the box plugged in the modem. sync'd up and tested my speeds. I get half of what you get, and im 10,357 feet away. And we live in the same town, im very unhappy with sbc at the moment. Im giving time to get me truly activated and hopefully it improves, if not ill look elsewhere. | |

| SBC Yahoo DSL - Ohio 
I have been using SBC Yahoo DSL for over a year now. I started with the Standard Basic Package of 1.5 down &384up. The DSL service actually ran at 1.300 down and 340 up for $26.95. My SBC YAHOO DSL was rock solid, very little to no down time and my speed was always running near or at 1.300 down and 340 up all the time on my home network.:):):)
In the last month I upgraded to the SBC Yahoo Pro package for $36.95. 3.000 down and 384 up, which actually is normally 2.600 2.650 down and 384 up....very solid.
I am 12,700 feet from the CO. GO SBC YAHOO DSL.:):):)
I hear the SBC Yahoo will looking toward 6.000 down WOW  :D | |
