| Re: Thank you! FYI
I just wanted to clarify the ip layouts and accounts...
Velocitus Biz accounts come with 5 ip's. Which the Network Operations breaks out a subnet of 8 ip's (or /29 for the geeks out their). Their are layed out like so...
the 1st ip is a "Network ID" (not used by customer) the 2nd ip is the address on the customers router most of the time and is refered to as the "Gateway Address" the 3rd thru the 7th ip's are the 5 that the customer can use on his/her network "The Statics" the 8th ip is the "Broadcast Address" (not used br customer)
so the customer actually has 5 usable ip's.
below is the current account listings...
--- 256 Pro Account - $19.95 --- Home account 256K - 7 times faster than your modem 5 email addresses 5 MB webspace works on your existing phone line make phone calls without interrupting or losing your connection to the Internet
--- 256 Pro Deluxe Account - $24.95 --- Home account 640K download - 20 times faster than your modem 256K upload 10 email addresses 10 MB webspace always on connection works on your existing phone line make phone calls without interrupting or losing your connection to the Internet
--- 256 Biz Deluxe Account - $29.95 --- Business account 256K - 7 times faster than your modem 5 static IP addresses 20 email addresses 20 MB webspace always on connection works on your existing phone line make phone calls without interrupting or losing your connection to the Internet
Thanks again JJHall!

| cisco678 PPPoE are you sure your service is PPPoE and not PPPoA ? it sounds more like PPPoA to me. The reason I am asking is this : I have a cisco678 and my service is PPPoE .. which means my cisco is programmed in bridging mode and I have to intiate my connetion via a connectoid on my computer. I would prefer to be able to authenticate from within the cisco and be able to use NAT and it's routing features.. however, I didnt think that was possible. If indeed your service is PPPoE.. and you have that type of configuration in your cisco.. could you please let me know. I would like to know the configuration so I can program it into my router. Thanks. If you want.. I can send you my email address. | |

| Re: cisco678 PPPoE Hi there, thank you for your message. Yes, your router should be set to handle NAT via PPPoA. In the case you need assistance with this please contact our technical support department at 800.219.9996.
