Weird, I don't know if anybody has witnessed this themselves, but my wife, before we got maddied, had the accelerator installed, and in the middle of the night, you could hear the computer "talking" I never caught what it said, but it was beyond creepy.

She heard it, and her little brother heard it as well. It started the night she installed it, and we never heard it again after I uninstalled it.

Bellsouth it not really doing false advertising here. Joi is making claims that you get DSL speed on dial-up which is patently false.

Bellsouth is making a claim that you surf (as in surf the web) 5x faster than standard dial-up with use of their Accelerator technology. This is not necessarily false because 'Accelerator' is really just a caching system similar to the one that NetZero uses to speed up web browsing.

Wouldn't that be considered surfing your cache?

IMO, both companies are stretching the truth just a tad.
