What this friend covered is perfect, the issue happened on last sunday in Shiyan Theater/china was exactly same as he said, and both of theater staff and audiuance can understand on cell phone jammer using in such a public site although I am a safety items busiess lady, I want what we sell are used legally, understandablly...... I don't know where you are from, but im from a town that is over ran with rude people, who think they are the only people on the planet. I'm not racist, but I can only point out stuff I see, it's usually kids that refuse to shut their phones off, and it's usually large african american women who want to stay in the theater and carry on a phone conversation at the top of their lungs. All of this data is just a representation of where I live (NE Georgia), might be different in other area's.

It depends if the movie theater did it on purpose, also if they jam signal, they should mark the area as being a no cell phone area.
If someone is having a heart attack, it's not that far to run to get help so someone can call 911 from the LAND Line (which 911 automatically knows where a call is originating from when it comes from a LAND Line, opposed to not knowing via cell phone).
I'm thinking about buying one just so when I goto the movies, I don't hear cell phones ringing every 10 minutes or some obnoxius lady screaming into her cell phone cause she doesn't want to get up and walk out.

|  If they did that in a Movie theater their ass will be grass.. What if someone has a Heart Attack or some other Illness when watching a movie or anything like that, But can't use their Cell phone because it's Jammed?
