i have to admit and come clean i have become infected with this nasty ad-ware. i was downloading a file and really not paying attention to the other files in the folder, i accidentally opened the wrong file, and blammo i was infected.
the sad issue is that the cleaner didnt catch any files, nor did trend micro internet security neither of my adware scanners caught it either.
the only program that caught it was norton antivirus pro 2004.
define irony. this program is a pain in the butt to clip.
it propagates all over the place.

Check this thread, the file bridge.dll is dropped into C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 directory. This file has size of 69 632 bytes. |

i used adaware as well as spybot. neither of theses caught it. |

Woodbury, CT | Adaware with latest ref file found a variant of blazefind-binet for me. It was comprised of different files though--no bridge.dll. |

I just removed some junk that included bridge.dll. AdAware 6 caught it. The reference file was from a week ago. I took the program out that had included it as well. |

Yeah. Now that updates are rolling right along, there's a new mission of telling people to check for updates all the time.
