| What do you mean? Are you asking if the majority of Insight customers are Windows users or if Linux works with Insight's service? I am pretty sure the majority are Windows users and Linux can work with Insight. Its just TCP/IP. -- MCSE- Minesweeper Consultant Solitaire Expert |

| reply to flw Look at this thread. »Is it possible to connect to insight using linux? You will see that several people use linux. I run several different distros and have never had a problem. I keep dropping hints at the office that we need to switch all of the workstations from NT to linux. I don't see it happening though. |

No it will not happen, due to the software that is used to provision the lines is not compatible with Linux. Being an Open Source type software, most companies will not make the move, and due to that Security concerns come up. Gee, Linux has more faults than the San Andreas. -- One man's customer loyalty is another man's miguided arrogance. |

| Software used to provision the lines? Everything used is web based. The billing system is about the only thing that would have to be ported different. It would probably take some work but it could be done. As far as the provisioning system, all of the tools used are web based as well and can be used with virtually any browser. |
