I just tried click to call for the forst time today and yesterday. My phone rings, but when I pick it up nothing happens, and after a few seconds I hear 2 clicks. I can dial the specified number manually with no trouble. |

You should contact tech support. |

| reply to tladuca the click-2-call has worked for me off-and-on in the past. Kind of as expected for a beta feature. However, I have seen some improvement (e.g. caller ID works better now, showing 'C2C' and the number you are going to call) -- ----DShield.org make the net a safer place. |

| reply to tladuca Click2Call was doing the same thing for me yesterday, and I haven't yet tried it today. My GF called three different times using it, my phone would ring, but when I picked up the phone I was met with silence - no ringing, no nothing. My GF verified she didn't hear anything on my end (hadn't even picked up her phone) and her phone didn't ring. I have not sent email to that special email address regarding support for this beta feature. |

| reply to tladuca I just tried it and it worked. Has anyone done anything interesting with this yet?
The message at the bottom of the »https://secure.click2callu.com/ page says "We intend to fully release this service in a few days." but from posts I've seen it's at least been since the end of December. Is it going to end up being a production feature? -- Have you tweaked your OOL connection? |

I don't see how is this anything like an 800 number. |

| If you look at an 800 #, it's an inbound call to you that doesn't cost the initiating party anything.
If we look at Click2Call, the same sort of thing happens. Someone else wants to speak with you, they click a link (they call you) and you answer and it calls them back. They are technically initiating the call (albeit the computer initiates on both ends on their behalf) and it doesn't cost them anything.
I can see how it's the same, assuming the initiating party is at a computer. -- Have you tweaked your OOL connection? |
