Strange how NY makes a pact with two Canadian provinces instead of neighboring states like NJ or CT.
NY did sign the compact with the other 43 states and does trade information with them...its just that NY doesn't record out of state violations to its residents' licences.
If you live in FL (or NJ and CT) and get a ticket in NY, the information will go to your state's DMV and they will add points according to their schedule (4 for this offense as previously noted).

| I got a ticket for speeding up highway 13 in Maryland. For those of you who have never been on highway 13 it's this long and desolate road with practically no cars whatsoever. The ticket was for going 80mph in a 55mph zone.
It was the only speeding ticket I've ever received for which I received points on my license in my entire life.
I later found out that Maryland more of a gigantic speed trap than it is of a state.
Apparently nj assigns points to your license if you get a ticket in almost everywhere.
nj sucks, I pay more for insurance than i do for my car payments. I'm thinking of getting an ny or fl license.
