With only one, what happens if that one site becomes unavailable to you for any reason?
With more than one, you have more chances of finding one that works at any given moment... |

I haven't been able to update for the last 5 days. Says there is no connection to the Internet.....but I'm on cable 24/7. Everything else works. I cut and pasted as Name Game suggested and problem gone Updated, re-started and all is well. Thanks for the tip / hint. |

| reply to jimkyle Makes sense to me , I just didn't look at the sites, they are all avg so that's cool. Plus you hhave alot of traffic so one is not enough to handle it. my problem was that when I ran the scan on avg 6 it said on my user files it could not open them up, so couldn't scan it. Will an update help? Plus it only scanned about 3 gig's. Shouldn't it scan my drive's 20 gig? |

Maybe it was set to only scan EXE files. You might not have configured it to do all file types. Also (and I can't remember, since I no longer use it), it may only count the file sizes of those files that are actually scanned. |

| As noted in an earlier post in this thread: Navigate to your AVG install directory and rename your existing url.ini file to url.iniold.
Copy the following and paste into notepad and save it as url.ini. Put this new file into your AVG install directory. You'll now have 3 options to select from with www.grisoft.com being the default.
