| Re: [wired] BEFSX41 firmware 1.45.7 As previously mentioned, this firmware can be forced to reboot by running a speedtest with Advanced Firewall Protection on Enable and Web Filter: ActiveX on Deny. This is the previously known bug that was reintroduced with 1.45.3 (or maybe the sensitivity to reboots was increased).
For me, the reboots aren't consistently reproducible like they were in pre-1.44.8 firmwares. Judging by the mixed reactions people have had with reboots using firmware 1.44.8 through 1.45.3, I think that some units may be more sensitive than others to the problem. Perhaps this is a timing issue in the CPU or other circuitry and the firmware instructions don't have enough margin of error for certain sequences to be completed. |
