It's still meets my definition of a virus, in that it takes over everything on the machine. Real Player is right up there with AOL. Neither is allowed on any machine in this household.;)

most of the evil Spyware things realplayer does can be blocked by anyone of the firewalls out there. But it still is a software dung bomb.
