Real Player sucked before, it sucks now, and It will continue to suck into the future. RealPlayer is the Gator
of the music player world. It wouldn't infest my computer at all with this turd except I have to have it to play it's extensions.

I wouldn't install any Real product on my machines, not even if it was the only mp3 player on earth.
They have to be the king of bloatware. They're even worse than AOL. It is indeed the music equivalent of Gator.
I refuse to listen (or watch) anything that requires Real.

I also only have it to play my .rm's, which I am replacing with AVI files. I hate the program, it is the worst media player out there. Give me WMP over that any day.

I saw a post on www.warp2search.net the other day for a realplayer alternative (emulator) download; aswell as a quicktime one. Haven't tried it yet but we shall see. |

there was(and may still be) a plugin for winamp so it plays real files..have to take a looka round..:)

These are both definitely worth getting. I wouldn't allow RealPlayer on my system for the reason's others have listed. The RealPlayer alternative works just fine without all the associated junk that comes with RealPlayer itself. I only had a few minor problems with Quicktime, but replaced it too after finding this alternative. Haven't had a problem with either one. |
