You'll find that the downstream power level is disabled in 95% of all Surfboard 3100's. Has your return power level always been at 26 db? Thats a very low level and could easily be getting some noise interfering. |

I recently talked to my neighbor who's incidently a tech and he said something like Mediacom implemented some upgrade from their center and that it's causing a whole lot of noise in the system, which causes the large packet loss and pings...he also said that around 13% to 30% packet loss is "acceptable for broadband internet" which I just can't believe... |
