| [CA] BIG Problems with recent Line Quality
Well, I don't know if anybody else has had any recent problems, but for the past 4 days or so, I've been getting MASSIVE amounts of packet loss and very large ping spikes on Mediacom HSI. Running Line Quality Tests (»/quality/nil/1257944) , I've been getting anywhere from 15-50% packet loss. So, my question is, is the problem with me, or is it with them? And is anybody else getting the same problems? |

| You might want to post your modem's signal levels since it does look local. What modem are you using? Are you behind a router?
Normally, the following URL will give you the modem signal levels that some will probably ask to further help your issue: »192.168.100.1/ |

| reply to Murasame Hi, Sorry for not posting them in the first place. Here they are: Downstream: Frequency: 519000000 Hz Locked Signal to Noise Ratio: 35 dB Upstream: Frequency: 26352000 Hz Ranged Power Level 26 dBmV
It's weird...it doesn't give the downstream power level...it's a Surfboard SB3100 3.0.7. |

| Thanks Mr Admin! It's really appreciated. I recently talked to my neighbor who's incidently a tech and he said something like Mediacom implemented some upgrade from their center and that it's causing a whole lot of noise in the system, which causes the large packet loss and pings...he also said that around 13% to 30% packet loss is "acceptable for broadband internet" which I just can't believe... |

Thanks for the help |
