DSL CO deployment schedule

Planned SBC DSL deployment schedule for COs not active as of Nov 1, 2003. This schedule is dynamic and the dates will probably change (earlier or later). Shamelessly stolen from another forum and reformatted here with the data relevant to the Ameritech region.

You wouldn't happen to have seen one for Indiana would you?

DOH! I should learn to read. Now I see the other states to be posted soon.

I need a little farther south like Henry County, I'm looking to see if my mom can get it soon.
My best guess is it will be many years before she can but you never know.

I would not be so quick to say never. I just seen DSL deployment in some of the WI COs where there are more cows than people for that particular coverage area . It is hard without broadband... I feel for everyone without it and who wants it. All I can say is sit tight and things will look up.

Fascinating stuff.
Looks like Verizon is really humping to get coverage in the rural towns. (many of these towns are in ex-GTE areas)

RadioDoc, which forum did you get this stuff from?
See any list for RTs there, too?

Lev uses DSL. Maybe cows are SBC's next big market.

[rant on]

I find it interesting that until recently SBC basically said hell would freeze over before these COs would get DSL and then Comcast comes along and starts wiring all of Lake county Indiana for HSI and suddenly the Highland CO gets enabled, plus the above mentioned COs. Then RTs start popping up all over the place or RTs are getting lit for DSL.

If deploying DSL and offering DSL is the great money loser some people claim it to be, a little competition seems be lighting a real big fire under their asses to lose money....

It's my bad.
I know that Chatsworth is Verizon, and Forrest and Gilman
are on either side of it along US24,
yet these two towns are in the list.
I found the original list in the SWB forum, and it's
indeed all SBC COs.

I'll tell you, it's murder trying to do a three-fingered salute with hooves. We cows gotta use our tongues for that third key.

Seriously, I too would take some heart in SBC's deployment of broadband, especially if KAIFS suggests optimism. He's really a great resource, and I wish the heck we could get him to work down Illinois way.

Well then ignore the zip codes. All that matters are the dates and the CLLIs anyway. There was no way I was going to go through that list and check every damn zip code...it was difficult enough to get the thing to post here at all considering all the crap this system does to HTML formatting.

You are seeing the nbsp space codes? Grrrrr.... I changed the spaces to those because someone else was complaining that the columns weren't lining up right on their browser.

What exactly are you seeing?

I'm using Mozillia 1.5. It was fine the way you had it the first time. We can actually see all the little places where you put the nbsp codes.

OK I put it back the way it was with the PRE tags. Anyone with column alignment problems will have to go yell at Justin.

Do I understand correctly that the DSL CO deployment schedule is up to ASI (the CLEC) but that the DSL deployment schedule in RT's is up to Ameritech (the ILEC)?

And, if my understanding is correct, when the ILEC deploys DSL in an RT (either existing RT or new RT) does ASI have to install any equipment in the CO to complete the process (assuming the CO is already DSL capable)?
