Are you squared away now, or do you still need help?
Anyway, the "easy" answer was to reboot (if you can), and re-enter the SET command. If you can't reboot, do an "echo %path%", copy the part of the path you WANT to the clipboard (right click), then do a "set path=" (to empty the path), then do a "set path=[clipboard]".
