 Something wrong in NYC?

Being a customer for 1 year..never ever had a problem until today (12/03). Something is very wrong with my service (Earthlink Cable). My speeds are up and down (they were steady about 2850/360)...now tests show great changes from one to another....(the worst was 1200/16)...I've done nothing....ELNK Website doesn't post any trouble....anyway...any idea what's going on?....anyone at the same status..?

Earthlink has no control over their lines, whatever it is, Time Warner is causing it....you probably will be back up in no time.

NY must have passed what it was onto Central Florida, then, because my service is suddenly VERY slow. I can load text just fine, and I haven't lost my MusicMatch connection, but for some reason, anything via http is very very slow.

Any ideas what's going on in Central Florida, anyone?

I think this is going to be hard....for the past 3 days I've been having trouble with EL Cable Service....really don't know what's going on...at first i thought that it was a thing of the moment but know I can assure you that something is going on...seems very unstable...specially at nights...nobody seems to know about this...

I'm having the same problem in NJ/ Fort Lee Area.

Earthlink has nothing to do with the speed you're getting. They are just a dealer who sells Time Warner's cable. Time Warner is the one who is causing problems.

cOntacted Earthlink hundred times already, everytime I call them they transfered me to Time Warner local office.
If you really want to complain about do what I did go to better business bureau web site and file your complaint againts TW.

Spotty service here in Brooklyn too; it's as if I'm on dialup with all the drop-outs every couple of hours or so. The mail is acting up too. I'm able to send but sometimes retrieval is impossible. I just switched to Earthlink three weeks ago and now I'm thinking maybe I should have stayed with dialup. Damn, did I just say that? Anyway, I hope these problems get resolved soon.

you are not the one beginning to have doubts...my problem is totally unpredictable and happens every now and then...I'm going nuts because I do rely in my internet service to use my BB Phone....at least my trouble is mostly with uploads speeds...(from an average of 360...sometimes I'm getting 50,60..)
