I'm on Earthlink DSL right now, but am interested in information on Earthlink cable(through Comcast). Beside usenet, are there any monthly caps when using Earthlink cable? Could you still lose your service if you go over Comcast's unnamed monthly limit?

clubs: | There are no caps besides the newsgroups. Regarding Comcast's glass ceiling, I would assume that it applies to EL subscribers but cannot confirm that one way or the other.

I have been having trouble downloading when using DC++ for the past three months. I tried several things on my computer, none of them working. So I called up Earthlink to see if they were capping the speeds on P2P software. They said that wasn't their policy and gave me Concast's number and told me to contact them. Concast said they don't cap speeds on anything.
I asked them when speed upgrades that everyone has been talking about was going to come to my area. Concast's operator did not know when it would be applied to my specific area, but told me not to expect any improvements as I am an Earthlink customer and they do not receive the same upgrades as Concast customers.
I personally think that Concast sucks and wish that I could get cable service from someone else. |

From following post in earthlink.support.highspeed.cable news group, it appears that EarthLink resold Comcast Cable Internet access customers could also get excessive bandwidth usage warning letter from Comcast.

does anyone know if earthlink sells a business account for provided by comcast? i need more allowable download limit since i got a you downloaded to much letter from comcast warning and i know they have a business account for $99 that will increase the speed and the download limit a lot.I'd rather not switch from earthlink back to comcast just so i can download more per month from the ineternet.
