| Gee What a Shame Do you think we really care about AOL? I know I sure don't I think what they charge is way too much for a dial up access account. I do pay more for my ISP service but then I am also on broadband. I think that people should not pay more than 10 bucks a month for a dial up access.

| Re: Gee What a Shame yep 10- is fair. Ironcially, that is about the going rate for Compuserve and Wal Mart, AOL's 'other" brands, same content, same look and feel. I switched LONG ago from AOL, and am with Comcast now. When I did, dial up was over 20- a month (debited from my checking which they charged extra for mind ya) and Comcast (AT&T at the time) was charging me about 30-. Now what is the smart decision there I wonder LOL As a general rule of thumb, if you don't use AOL's chatrooms, you really do not need AOL. We all seee their adds saying a "safer internet and blah blah blah" well as long as it's a pc with windows, it's never really safe. People say well the email is easy and this and that, well ya so it Yahoo email. Save yer cash folks, get away from bad customer support who try incredibly hard not to let you cancel yer account! Last but not least, I would say, get a real ISP, that doesn't cost an arm and a leg where their stoopid built in browser doesn't make websites look like crap and doesn't need a gazillion recorces to run! | |
