Is there any reason to leave the modem on all the time? I have left it on for the first 10 days of service as suggested, but are there pros and cons to leaving it on or off when not being used? |

| The explanation is in the FAQ, but it's kinda buried:

| reply to MikeJrod my modem and computer have been on 24/7 for over 2 years with the exception of a couple of local power outages when my backup battery supply didn't last long enough. It will not hurt your modem to leave it on 24/7 and it will save you the time of having to wait for the modem to acquire an IP address so you can get onto the internet.
