Oli- Yes - it actually has a very nice internal status page where you can do all of that. -- "The rules of applying cologne: Spray, Delay, and walk away!" |

| Here's the deal -
It's $52.95/mo plus $5/mo for rental = $57.95 / mo
First 3 months are $40.95 (save $12 a month)
Install was $99 instead of $199 (save $100)
Yes, it was a upfront charge and all - but I feel it's justified. -- "The rules of applying cologne: Spray, Delay, and walk away!" |

| OK. That's what I heard the pricing was. When you get home, can you post screen shots of the router's configuration screens to see what you are allowed to control, that way maybe some potential customers can see what they are allowed to with it before making any wrong assumptions about what they can and can not do with it. |

| reply to JeepMatt Were you "forced" to take the $99 pro install or did you just elect to have it?
And $58 total/mo isn't bad. For some reason I had in my head that it was $58 plus the rental fee. That's basically just the $10 home networking charge they used to have plus $5 equipment rental and you get the better caps...and if you rent already, that's only $2 more. -- Don't get it, demand it! | reply to JeepMatt Just wondering, did the tech have to install any software on your computers (ie. comcast logo browser etc.) and are you allowed to change the internal LAN IP addresses? (asking because I like using the 90.0.0.x range for my LAN)
Thanks. -- Nothing says "get the hell out of my house" like the sound of a 12-gauge pump chambering a shell. |

| Oli- My area hasn't been upgraded to 3000 yet - so to answer your question - YES!
No software what so ever was installed - just your typical 192.168.x.x to get to the internal page. -- "The rules of applying cologne: Spray, Delay, and walk away!" |

@ntso.com | reply to JeepMatt ArmaliteAR10 - don't count on being able to get this if you are really in joliet. Chicagoland can't get pro so I doubt you can get the same speeds with HN |

| reply to JeepMatt I was speaking to a manager who was out at my house recently about whether or not you could get the Home Networking speeds without using the router/modem combo that Comcast supplies. He basically said what JTRockville said that there was no technical reason why you shouldn't be able to get it without their router/modem combo... he tended to think that it was possible. If I ever feel the need to try and get 4 Mbps / 384 Kbps instead of 3.3 Mbps / 256 Kbps I'll give it a try and see what happens. |

It might be worth it to give my PS2 its own IP if they give you more than one.. |

Is that 5 places to hook something up, or they only allow 5?
If they only allow 5, could you hook another router to the modem/router and hook up more if you wanted? (I realize that you probably don't know the answer to that unless you tried it already.) |
