Hehe.. me too. Cable gives you a (usually) fast pipe to often crummy routing, and latency that could be just about anything from minute to minute. Someday folks will understand that there's a lot more to a quality broadband connection than just the potential maximum speed of the "last mile" connection.

My 6000/600 DSL connection costs more than cable, but I know exactly what I'm getting for my money.

Might wanna relook at your agreements. unless you have roadrunner extreme, you have a 40gb bytecap.

I had Roadrunner some time ago...it was horrible. Completely unreliable. I'm more than happy to have a slower speed that I can depend on.

Caps depend on your area. RR Extreme isn't offered here in upstate NY and I haven't received any letters from Time Warner about exceeding any caps (knock on head...er...uhm...wood). My usage HAS to be in the 60-70 gig/month range.

thats exactally why i went with dsl. also because too many people in my area have roadrunner/insight/time warner so the speeds at the times i use it are 800-1.2 mb/115-135(my neighbor has it and it sucks) up and is $50 plus a month so ill stick to my reliable unchanging but Sometimes slower(and cheaper ) dsl.
