| reply to gate1975mlm "Recorders for both the PC and consumer electronics markets are expected to become available during the course of 2004." Looks like new recorders will be needed. Taken from here: »www.dvdrw.com/press/duallayer.ht···cdfreaks . |

| reply to gate1975mlm I fit everything fine on 1 disc..
I use dvdxcopy, and the new dvdxcopy Xpress allows you to quickly copy a dvd with a click of a button, then it will burn to 1 disc. What it does is simply cuts the EXTRAS out, I have not encountered a situation where I had to compress the quality (but the program will do this if needed).
-I have the DRU500A, thing runs fantastic.
-I have NO reason to goto a DUAL-burner now!!!! -- __-= Comcast cable, linksys BEFSR41 Router(1.45.7 firm), TyanS2099A w/ p4 2.66GHz, ATI 9600pro, cable_TV =-__ |

Ill take 8.5GB over 4.7GB any day. Yes, I am happy with my current DVD+/-RW drive but I would prefer the 8.5GB. |
