Search Engines Wont Load!!

Hello. It appears that when I go to a search engine (ie. yahoo, google, hotbot) they will not load. The only one that loads is Dogpile and search.com. I think this might be a bug/virus of sort, has anyone heard of this going around and know where I can download a fix?

It is a new trojan called Qhosts. I have not seen a downloadable fix yet. Sarc and McAfee both recomend to update your virus software to fix it.

More Information can be found here »us.mcafee.com/virusInfo/default.···k=100719

Download Spybot Search $ Destroy and immunize. It prevents things from changing your hosts file. You need to go find your hosts file and delete it. It should be in windowys\system32 depending on your OS. Once you get it deleted and run S$D to immunize then it won't be able to change your hosts file again. I had to fix this on several machines here at work yesterday.

»QHosts-1 trojan

More information can be found at the link above. It would seem my choice of antivirus already has definitions that cover this new nasty.
»Re: QHosts-1 trojan seems the 9/12/03 weekly update had this one covered.
