DLink DI-604. I don't know how to turn just the firewall off. I just parked in the DMZ and it works. I hope I don't have to DMZ it every time I play.

ok, anytime i try to do ANYTHING in steam and i mean any-damned-thing the program just stops responding.
from what i understand: i can get steam... and play 1.6 but 1.6 wont be out for a week... huh. i hate change.

All you do is follow the steps, it doesn't do anything to your old cs directory unless you ask it to.

I would first like to say.. Steam is a piece of garbage software with errors at every turn.
OK..I am looking at an error box that reads "This game is currently unavailable.." after I selected Games>CounterStrike. While in the background it is downloading at 100KB/s. What's that all about? Why the error message if the dl is available?
Anyway..It doesn't give me an option to override the cs1.5 install. I sure would hate to download the entire 1.6 with this steam crap
Wait its getting even better. As I type this, my video mode just changed to 640x480 256color. How lovely. |
