Ahh.... A crapple troll. I dropped cable in favor of DSL and have never looked back. In all likelihood, I never will look back.
With its downtime, unreliable service, expense, and severe restrictions/limitations, the only way I would consider cable is if my only other option were dial-up. With my DSL line, I have rock-solid service, good (intelligent) customer service/support (if needed), a static IP, and no restrictions on what I can do/can't do (read as "run your own servers and have no ports blocked").
Best of all, my DSL company doesn't complain the second I run over some nonsensical "cap". I've never been labeled a "bandwidth hog" and never will-- because unlike cable they know how to run a network and not alienate their customers. -- Cox cable: the hallmark questionable business practices and lousy cable service! |
