users can not browse my network places

error.zip 34,138 bytes
(error.doc)
Users can't browse my network places. The main reason I want to browse it is so that they can search through active directory. I've checked the gpos and apparently they are clean all users are on xp pro.

Is the computer and user a member of the domain? (reason I ask is because it states workgrooup instead of domain in the error).

Here's your error - a little easier to see.

Perhaps you have to open some ports:

»support.microsoft.com/?kbid=298804

The following link has a bit more troubleshooting for your error (Click on "System error 6118 - The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available"):

thanks I'll check it out in the morning yes the user and computer are members of the domain. I fogot to mention if we log onto the exchange servers and try to browse my network places we can't do it, but it will let us go through active directory browsing also if we log on to the domain contolers we can go through both network places and active directory browsing.
