Well, here's my mess. Details are on my network page (»/metashare/884b37).
First one shows my command center. Left box is my Linux file server (Scooter), then my WinXP Dell box (FozzieBear). On top of the Dell is the Zip drive for my work laptop, which is next on my massive desk. Up above is my LinySys 802.11g router, below is my spiffy minifridge, and down to the right is my Linux IBM laptop (Zoe).
Next pic is what I used to have hanging in my office (when I had one) in my old job as a project manager. Made a great motivator.
And then a closeup to the right of the desk, wherein lies my techie book library. And no, I haven't read ALL of them yet.
Fourth pic in the family room, Win98SE Dell family computer (BeanBunny) next to my wife's sewing and craft quadrant. On top of the monitor, covered by the little mouse is an Intel webcam.
Last computer is up in the kitchen/living room area. My wife's computer (Beaker), all pinked-up and pretty Hello Kitty style. (I get to do computer mods now so long as she go the first one done.) You might notice she does cakes for a living. Teaches classes, in fact. On top of the CPU is the LinkSys WUSB11 piece-of-crap that I still can't get to talk to the downstairs router. Shoulda just got the PCI card...
Lastly is a very sad picture. Took apart my wife's very nice ergonomic keyboard, pinked it up, put it back together. Stopped working a week later. :-(
Let me know what you think. I have two daughters, so any flames and insults will be cheerfully ignored. -- Brain: Promise me something, Pinky. Never breed. |

dongyrnProfessional Geek join:2003-07-14 Martinsburg, WV | reply to RavnKing Oooh, I've wanted a Katana for some time... I have a smaller Claymore (more like a hand-and-a-half than a two-hander) on the opposite wall, not in a shadow box. The one in the pic is around 5 1/2, 6 feet or so.

dongyrnProfessional Geek join:2003-07-14 Martinsburg, WV | reply to tsigo Gracias - as you can tell, I have an affinity for the O'Reilly books... some are getting a little out of date, and I have all these web design/programming books I don't use much anymore (I'm doing SysAdmin work now)... -- Brain: Promise me something, Pinky.
