| Problems in Erie, pa
well it all started yesterday , I had my computer on standby and everything has been fine . I went to get online last night and had a heck of a time . my modem would'nt sync so I rebooted and still had difficulties . I finally managed to get on and my speed was horrible , like around 12kbs . so I gave up and I'm still having problems today . any Ideas , or info would be appreciated .

A line quality test would be more beneficial than a tweak test in trying to ascertain the root of your problems. I don't see anything on the network status page, but that certainly doesn't mean that there's not a problem in your area.

Well I'm glad i'm not alone here , that's the good news I suppose . I've tried running a line quality test and It gets cancelled , I'm never pingable even with my fire disabled .

Umm.. Moe.. Downstream spec's are -15 to +15 dbmv bro.
I've seen a lot of things with Erie PA this past week. Lot of calls for intermittent issues. Usually cold booting gets everything back online..

I was going to call tech support but my modem booted up and now I'm all good . for now anyway , any more problems and I'll give adelphia a call . |

I live in Connecticut, and I noticed yesterday that my speed has dramatically decreased. I called Adelphia, and they said they think it's my signal, so they are sending someone here tomorrow. However, I know it's not my signal, cuz it's the same now as it was when I was getting 3000kb download, nothing has changed. I'm just wondering if it's possible that my problem is related to the PA problem. |
