All sarcasm aside, I think it is high time some of these providers start listening to the consumer who pays the bills.
Well Vonage, and Packet8 is a good way of motivating them. Cut the line, go cable. -- Call your friends let them know about www.donotcall.gov. Send email, use flyers, rent a banner ad. Let friends use your computer.. |

| I will never, ever, "go cable" as long as Comcast is the only provider available. The only company I loathe more than SBC is Comcast. -- ::: Do, or do not, there is no try:::»www.kapilville.com |

| reply to DaveNJ You act like every cable operator is offering cable-based broadband service. WRONG! Two big GONGS for you, Mr. Doesn't Know Everything!
Adelphia finished dropping fiber in my neighborhood back in May 2002, a point when the network got certified for use. Because of decision-makers in that cable company the company as a whole, and many of its local franchises suffered greatly.
Thus, absolutely zero broadband offerings from the cable providership in my little neck of the woods. At least with DSL there is a chance of competition. With the cable organization there is no competition from other cable providers. |
