You have to remember though... even with 10/1 there comes a breaking point in peoples wallets. The speeds are great, but since I am connected to a residential service, if they cap me as an alternative to paying $60, $70, $80, $90 or even $100 bucks a month for internet, then I am all for it.

They will have to start tiered pricing, a residential service running at Business Class speeds still needs to be priced in residential pricing. I don't have a CHOICE to take a lower package. Truthfully, if they had tiered pricing NOW at the current rate, I would take half the speeds I am getting now for half the price.

But just because we get good speeds doesn't mean we need to disregard pricing.. because it is still a residential service. And don't get me started about how the price has gone up, meanwhile the Email, Usenet and DNS servers are constantly going down or working half ass.

My eyes are bleeding from reading this.

I have charter cable. 39.95 a month...own my own modem....getting 769/128. $10 more a month and I can get 1.5/128.

10/1 for 49.95 a month without an option to get half the speed for less

or

1.5/128 for 49.95 a month with no other option to go higher.

Synopsis: You got it bad.....obviously im the one making out out with the speed and lower price.

Wish i could complain about downloading at a MB a sec.......how do you ever make it threw a day?

From what I understand, OOL has some rather draconian restrictions on what you're allowed to do with your connection. Any truth to this?
