| Problems in santa monica
Has anyone else been having problems in santa monica, ca? Lately in the past couple of weeks it just goes out for like 3-4 minutes and comes back online and it happens everyday about 3-4 times a day. I went to adelphia site and they say to network problems in Santa Monica, but I wanted to ask the people in the board if they have been having problems in either Santa Monica or the Southern California region. |

For some reason the problem is getting worse, in a two hour period it happened like 10 times. I have called the cable company but it will take until next week for them to send someone. |

| reply to ashakouri1 Yesterday a adelphia tech came out to fix my cable modem and I don't know what he did but now my cable modem is worse than before. Before it use to go out for periods of about 10-20 seconds throughout the day which was kind of bearable, but now the cable goes out for a period of like 30 min to 1 hour and comes back online. The adelphia tech guy said he fixed the power level and I heard him drill something in back where the splitters meet for the cable modem. And I called adelphia and they said that it will take one week to fix the problem that their own person made. |

| How far are you from Santa Monica or the Los Angeles area? Cause I asked a tech and they said no one in my area or in the Greater Los Angeles area has this problem. When mine goes out on my cable modem the send light keeps flashing, is that the same thing that happens to yours?
Also my tech guy is coming on Tuesday and I asked for a different one since the first one messed mine up, and if it works I will post back what he did, and if yours starts working after the tech please post back what he did so I can call adelphia.
If it continues I am most likely going to switch to Verizon DSL they have a good special going on and hopefully I won't have signal problems.
Also anyone know if adelphia can forward e-mails if you cancel your account with them. |

| reply to ashakouri1 My adelphia connection has been having problems since Thursday of last week. Like you said, it goes out for about 30 secs every 5 mins or so...making all types of gaming impossible. I am sitting on hold right now trying to talk to them, 50min wait. Have fun |
