| reply to gate1975mlm That is true. 3 regions. East, Central & West. The one thing I like about the Central Region Home Page is the National Map at the bottom. You can point and click to go to any of the NWS forecast centers in the country. Faster and easier that typing in zip codes. |

True, nws has it all, but if you like checking out others try Intellicast... Check out my radar loop! Also, Weather Underground has good info, but they charge for their moving radar (the dogs) so they get no link... -- I feel much more like I do now than I did an hour ago... |

| reply to gate1975mlm While it is true that the NWS has just about everything one needs in weather, their pages are not designed to automatically display data, such as WB and WP do. It's "I have to go get it" vx. "the program will do it for me periodically."
The one thing I've not been able to locate on the NWS site(s) is what Intellicast calls "surface analysis" (plotting of low and high pressure cells as well as fronts). Does anyone have a pointer to that?
And now a weather plug for my hometown (and current town too)...We're the home of lake-effect precipitation prediction named BUFKIT.

| reply to gate1975mlm Wow! A lot of you checked out my web site, I see. I don't know how it's doing it, but in the year + 3 days it's been up, I've had over 5,000 page views. It is consistently in the top 10, (sometime top 5), of the major search engines for Los Angeles weather. And I just noticed my Google page rank is 5/10. -- This Blonde walks into a bar and orders a Coors and.... |
