1.44.8 stinks on the BEFSX41, as far as I can tell. Broke the loopback, and caused my router to hang so bad I actually had to make a call to Linksys. That's only happened once before when my formed BEFSR41 took a lightning hit, courtesy of Time Warner's cable line.
Anyway, the tech sent me the v1.44.11t_0416 firmware, and I would suggest that folks skip 1.44.8. It mangled the router so bad after a few hours that I couldn't ping its address or get into the web configuration. The top and middle WAN lights kept blinking in alternating pattern, forever. No diag light was lit. I couldn't even reset the router by holding the reset button. 1.44.8 seems flaky to me. I've been through 3 other updates on this router (bought it pretty early after it was released) with not a single problem until now.
This may be the same firmware that others have posted, but anyway... |

So far I've been running it for a couple of days and I think this is the best firmware yet (though that isn't saying much).
I would think anyone who has gotten to the point where they are reading the Linksys forum on this website should be deemed worthy of being able to give this firmware a try...why is it so cloaked in secrecy? Just make it public guys, I think we can handle it. |

Thank you so much for making this available. The first few days of use suggest that it represents a significant improvement over the the 144.3 and 144.8 versions I was suffering. Thanks again. |

Thanks so much for posting 1.44.11 of the firmware. It is working great for me. I like how the loopback works  Sad how Linksys isn't on the ball on their firmware though. I mean, how long has it been since 1.44 and the best they have to offer is just beta firmware? What's up with that? |

I have he opposite problem, 1.44.8 was stable, with 1.44.11t_0416, my connection is stable, but I can only get into the web interface intermittently, the rest of the time it's not found, I can't even downgrade, the firmware updater gets no response. |
