Windows Automatic update has been quiet ever since Microsoft botched patch 811493. However, Windows Update came a knockin with patch Q815021 today. After reading subzeros post I think I will hold off until I see some more feed back.
Anyone else here have the same experience as subzero?
As far as 811493 goes I think Ill wait until Microsoft adds it to the Windows Update line-up and watch the feedback here in the meantime. |

| I sure would like to get some specifics. More detail than "everything was freaking out". I've just finished installing it on this sytem and so far I don't see any obvious problems. What should I be looking for? -- Man - the animal voted least likely to leave well enough alone. |

| This morning I came to my pc and in tools, clicked windows update. Once updated successfully I restarted my computer and walla my Symantec products didn't work and along with a few other programs to boot. So I did a system restore, got everything back as usual. Then I read this thread from Unhygienix stating the 811493 patch was available and downloaded it and it worked fine. So I was just sitting here and wondering what if I just download Q815021 one more time will it work. So I did and everything is fine. I was a bit scared, but I'm over it now. |
