| reply to heliox Re: New Modem W/ Adelphia
I called Adelphia on Thursday to get my new modem provisioned. It is now Monday and they STILL haven't done it. They say they are very busy.
Apparently the guy on Thursday put it into the system wrong. They corrected that Friday, and told me it would be done 'soon'. Saturday they apologized and said it could be up to 48 hours. |

| It is probably best for anyone with a new modem to call in to the Tech Support almost immediately after hooking it up if it doesn't lock on. Just be sure to have the Cable Modem Mac ID and request a Trouble Ticket number at the end of the call. Findings have been such that possibly a cable tech will be needed before the provisioning can be completed as well. FYI...some cable modems may not register on the servers until the signal is set and that can be determined at the time of call.
Also, it may be best to call in through the week and not on weekends. Some businesses only provide weekends off to departments other than Tech support. ) |
