Well, of you're a Californian, then maybe broadband over powerlines isn't such a great idea. Besides the rolling blackouts we also had our rates raised by 200% at one time.
That already sounds like your average broadband provider to me. What's the point of powerline broadband if it isn't stable and cheap. Any Californian that signs up for this is clearly not thinking properly. |

| It wasn't the power distributors (e.g. PG&E) that caused havoc during the power crisis in CA. It was the producers and traders (e.g. Enron). Power Line Communications is a viable alternative. Total throughput should be about 2Mb/s in the next year or two... |
