Well the Power Companies would likely become the biggest monopoly's as you will never have a choice which Power Company you would like to use and there always raising rates here and there. tho this would apply to the areas where they could only get PLC

I don't care since no one else is gonna give me broadband anytime soon anyway...as long as the pings are good and the downloads are decent I'm all for it even if it requires me to bathe in the blood of a hundred puppies, or deal with a monopoly.
