| reply to outkast7621 There is now way I would believe that Chicago to St Louis is only 5ms, or that the longest possible delay from Chicago is to San Diego at 50ms. As well, according to that page St Louis is performing better than Chicago across the board. (Nor do I believe the 100.00% modem connect rate, 0.00% backbone loss, and 99.99% backbone availability for the month of December). -- ISCABBS - the oldest and largest BBS on the Internet telnet://whip.isca.uiowa.edu or Go to »isca.whiteboard.net for more information (and java telnet access) |

| reply to outkast7621 Ah, nevermind, they are accurate. It is backbone edge to backbone edge only aggregated over 24 hours and updated every half-hour. Cumulative monthly rates are averaged over all measurements made for all city pairs for the entire month (so for example, Houston to Dallas from 4:30 am to 5 am counts the same as Los Angeles to New York 6 pm to 6:30 pm). -- ISCABBS - the oldest and largest BBS on the Internet telnet://whip.isca.uiowa.edu or Go to »isca.whiteboard.net for more information (and java telnet access) |
