free wireless in austin (west campus area)

I know of a couple of places here around west campus that have wireless providers. The Contessa Dorms on Rio Grande have AirWave as a provider, and then theres UT itself. Is it possible to receive their connection wirelessly? I am located on Salado Streer..about 100 yards behind the Contessa Dorms. Any help on free wireless connection/networks in austin would be helpful.
thanks
pat
